Photo and video consent

We photograph our gatherings because the archive is worth having. We also make it straightforward to say no.

Registration asks you to tick a photo consent box. Ticking it means the association may use images of you in its archive, website, newsletters and social channels. Declining does not affect your place at the convention.

At the venue there will be a marked area where photography does not take place, and a lanyard colour indicating that a person has not consented. Officers brief the photographer accordingly.

Children. Consent for anyone under sixteen must be given by the parent or guardian who registers them. We do not publish the names of children alongside their photographs.

Withdrawal. Write to the executive with a description of the image and we will remove it from our own channels and archive. Where the image has been reposted by third parties we will ask, but cannot compel, its removal.
